Arsene Wenger is on the hunt for Alexis Sanchez’s replacement at the Emirates and it’s understood the Gunners have agreed a deal to land 20-year-old forward Malcom this January.
Malcom’s entourage held talks with Arsenal last week in London over a £45million transfer and the Brazilian’s agent has fueled
speculation of an imminent move to north London.
Fernando Garcia began ‘liking’ welcome messages from Arsenal fans on Instagram, but it appears Liverpool could be battling their Premier League rivals for Malcom’s
signature.
Asked about rumours of the attacker’s exit, Bordeaux manager Gourvennec said: ‘I can’t deny that he’s being followed by a lot of
people. With Malcom, I go from day-to-day.
‘He’s committed. He’s a bit, like he was in the summer…I wouldn’t say he has been disturbed by it, that’s a bit strong, he’s not
disturbed, but he is asking questions.
‘He’s asking himself what’s the best thing for him, for his future. That’s logical. If he’s asking questions and he still manages to
make assists or score goals, it’ll be fine.’
However, instead of mentioning Arsenal, Gourvennec bizarrely named Liverpool as a possible destination for Malcom.
He added: ‘If Liverpool want you to work for them tomorrow, you’d go.
‘I’m a coach, I’d like to be able to count on Malcom, Malcom has to help us.
