Pep Guardiola’s men have been in
scintillating form this term and it has been claimed the title race is over already with the Blues currently sitting 11 points clear at the top flight summit.
City are naturally favourites to claim a 16th consecutive league victory when Spurs arrive at the Etihad on Saturday evening.
But Mauricio Pochettino’s side have already upset the odds this season by overcoming top opposition in the Champions League– winning a competitive group following wins over Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
And White Hart Lane hero Ginola says Spurs have a great chance of upsetting the runaway leaders.
“They have a big chance,” the Frenchman told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
“They’ve proved that in the past that they’re capable of beating any team.
“Beating City would be great for Spurs, they’re fourth in the table and they really have to keep up the pace until the end of the season to continue playing in the
Champions League.
“But the way City are playing at the moment, they’re just fantastic. Everything they do in the middle of the park is brilliant and so
many players have improved their game and even improved more since the beginning of the season.
“Pep Guardiola is setting up something at City that he has already done in the past with Barcelona - it’s great to watch City play football right now.
“So it’s going to complicated for Spurs, to face City right now will not be easy, but they can beat them and I think they will.”
